State violence is enacted in our country’s political, cultural and educational institutions now more than ever. What can we do as writers to disrupt the harmful political narratives of our time? In this workshop we will explore the intersection between the personal and the political, learning how we can write stories that preserve our histories, document the times we are living in and re-imagine a better future. We will also focus on how we can undertake literary interventions to center voices that have been traditionally marginalized.
